The 777 Revolution continues…

In the eve of the 777 season, the confirmations that 2007 is a year of unprecedented blessings, and a year of perfection and completion, are still under way. In Uganda, always in July, it is always a dry season but we are experiencing un-explained rainfall!
In a rare spectacle, the false prophets and dubious pastors in Uganda are being unveiled and exposed; the nation has seen the discovery of huge quantities of oil, natural gas and gold in this year and more area with wealth are being discovered. It is also the time that the country is hosting of the heads of nations from common wealth countries. It is rather a year of miracles.
In church, we have not been left the same too. we have got numerous visitors to our church and at this time, we have been visited by Joshua and Michael, the organizers of Passion conference in the US, pre-supposedly on a visit in which they are organising with our church, to do a ‘passion conference,’ the first of its kind in Africa. This is a very big opportunity. This conference scheduled for May 2008, will host students from all college campuses across East Africa for a one day worship session. In January, passion07 was held in Atlanta USA, and it drew 21000 students from 31 conference. The event organizers Louie Giglio and Chris Tomlin will be at the event.
As a church we believe that we are in the 7 years of blessings; 2007-2013, a season of Un-precedented blessings. This year, the church wants to set up seven more churches and already there is one that is being set up at Nkumba University and another at Aghan Khan University. The church has also set up a college radio station, 106.1 University FM and is in the process of supplying every college campus student with an FM radio station configured with the station. This is a season of blessings.

Pr. Dr. Martin Ssempa preached the message “Prescription for a revolution (revival)” and Reading from Judges 7:1-15, a time when Gideon defeated the Midianites with an army of only 300 men, Pastor’s continues with this message that;
When you are to lead the revolution, there is a lot to consider. You must prepare. Don’t just say that God has elevated you to next level. You need to do your homework.
From verse 1-3; the history of human civilization shows that majority have never led, it is always the few organized minority. God is interested in the small-organized minority. Do not be afraid that the church is the minority that prayer meetings have the minority but it was always the minority that enters the veil. God is interested in the minority to feed the many in the mountains, in fact only 3% always control the governments. Do not be misled because of the number of the people telling you, God had to first reduce the number of the Israelites. Be encouraged from the thought that the numbers do not make it right.
Verse 4-8; when God is going to use a group, He first tests it. He tests us in combat, in small type of the test rhymes with the circumstances you are to face.
Verse 9-12; during the night, Gideon heard from the lord. We must receive from the lord and listen from Him. We have to listen from the lord. God spoke to Joseph in the dream; God spoke to pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar through a dream. The army of the lord should be able to hear from the God closely. Some times you dream of creatures like snakes; that is not a good dream, that’s sorcery. You need to listen, understand and pray. There is also a need to network. A revolution needs to be networked with others. God sent Gideon to do intelligence gathering and as Christians, we need to do the same. We need not live on a survival mode, there is need to research.
Verse 13-15; there is need for some one to speak to the church to get up. We need to network through SMS, the internet, blogs and other mediums. The church is the largest community in the world but it is not networked. It is me and you who should form a network for a church.
There are some of the needs to start a revolution. We need money to start a revolution. Not all of you are called to be Pastors, some of you are called to be Lecturers, businessmen, politicians and others economists to spear head the revolution in many sectors. God bless you.

The Ugandan 777 worship and prayer concert is on. Led by mainly young college students, the event kicked off in full force at Uganda’s biggest college campus, Makerere university’s main sports ground.
5: 00pm-6:30pm
The weather is good, a bit warm and Shout Africa Worship team comes to stage-comprised of the singers, the musicians, and the dancers plus the instrumentalists. They too have the flag bearers of different world nations and they begin off by praying for the event. They begin off by repenting of the sins and then exalting the name and blood of Jesus.

Pr. Dr. Martin Ssempa blows the trumpet 7 times to signify the beginning of a new day according to the Jewish calendar and on the 7th time, the flag bearers wave them over the crowds.

777 is coming! Are you ready?

Count down to 777 is in its final phase and with just 6days remaining to the big day, the temperature is already rising. On Thursday while in a lunch hour fellowship at the church’s student drop in center,-The Whitehouse, Pastor Martin Ssempa leading the prayers, prayed for signs and for clear vision before the day comes. In the evening a rainbow showed up in the skies and the very next morning another one too also came up to the skies. All along we have been praying for dreams and visions for the day and this Sunday, many dreams for the day being a colorful event were presented as they were revealed through different people. As a church we are in the final stages of the 40 day fast which we begun on the 24th of May and as we enter the final week, a more intensified 24hr fasting period for 7 days has been declared as we prepare for 777.
This Sunday service was very colorful and prophetic and in a spectacle reflecting psalms 68 and 77.
From Psalms 77:7 came the cry, “will the Lord reject forever? Will He never show His favor again?”
And from Psalms 68:24-25, the procession that was coming in the presence of the Lord and how they were following themselves provided the background for how the procession of the worship team came in, first the flag bearers then the dancers and there after the singers and the musicians followed suit accordingly. The prayer for the day came from Psalms 68:28. As we seek the lord and His mighty Shekinah glory, just as in this verse, “summon your power o God, show your strength, o God as you have done before.” In this season of 777 we seek the power and strength of God just as it was in the times of Elisha and Daniel.
There too was a time of prophecy and we prophesied for the awakening of the nations, for a revival in the land, a prophecy that all kings and rulers will bow down before the Lord, prophecy a rise of young boys like David who are able to slay giants like Goliath and the arise of musicians, businessmen, an awakening of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers and pastors to lead the sheep. The prophecy for the worshipers to arise, and for the perfection and completion of the work of the Lord in our lives.
This service also featured as the last Sunday we were fellowshipping with our visitors from Pennsylvania- a group of 25 youth between 15 and 25 who have been with us for two weeks now and they have been involved in ministry work for instance ministering in schools and orphanages and carrying out different activities for the church ministry. They shared their stories, testimonies and experiences as the church was flagging them off back home in Pennsylvania.

Pastor Martin Ssempa preached about the extract from Psalms 77 and the message from verse 7, “Will the Lord reject forever?” This rather rhymes as 777. He begun off by elaborating more about 777, and introducing the guests that have confirmed to join the Christian community to worship including Alan Houston, the NewYork Knicks basketball player and Alan Kisaka the California based worship leader and he made a call to the members to pray and fast for the big day.
To the sermon, from Psalms 77:1-6, he goes on that…when we are in a problem that’s when we cry to the lord. We need to thank God for the problems we have. The problems that God brings to us make us very prayerful. When we are in comfort, we are always prayer less. Sometime we should refuse comfort as the psalmist says in verse 2. That’s why we should refuse the comfort of food and fast and beseech God’s face and perfection.
In verse 7 the psalmist cries out, “will the Lord reject for ever?” this should be the cry of our hearts as was in the days of revivalists and evangelists William Booth, Jonathan Edwards and Charles Wesley. The days for revival have come and are here. The days for us to come out of our hiding has come to an end. Do not despise yourself considering unbiblical principles of maturity and status when you are called upon to take up action for the change of this world. Time’s up. We need to wake up. The 777 event will be at the Makerere University sports ground beginning from the evening of Friday 6th at 5pm and will go on till Saturday the 7th with mega worship and prayer with Ps. Dr. Martin Ssempa, Dr. James Magara, Ps. Isaac Mukisa, Ps. Gerald Mwebe, and Ps. Steven Senfuma all in conjunction with Intercessors for Uganda. Among the musicians present are the worshippers, Wilson Bugembe and Judith Babirye. This event is the biggest of its kind in the East African region.
